Betty Lou's TGIF Recipe: Sage Burger

Keeping in theme of the last Betty Lou's TGIF Recipe post, I'm going to make one of the best loved ground meat recipes.
The Burger!

Sage Chicken Burgers :)

I smothered them in garlic cheese!

In my haste of making a quick dinner, I forgot to take pictures till the end lol. This recipe is made with chicken thighs I ground up earlier and kept in the freezer.

Ingredients:

1 pound ground chicken
1 fist sized onion
2 tbs of fresh sage, chopped
4 cloves of garlic
3 tsp poultry seasoning
4 slices of your favorite cheese
salt and pepper

Now What:

In a food processor add onion, sage and garlic; pulse till onions are finely minced. Add onion mixture and poultry seasoning to ground chicken. Mix it up with your hands then make an even mound of meat, now score the mound with an X to make 4 perfect patties. Shape up the patties and season with salt and pepper. Get your best burger making pan to medium high heat and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side. Because its ground chicken make sure each burger is cooked through. About 1-2 minutes before the burgers are done, pop your cheese on top and cover to help melt the cheese.

That's it! Put your burgers on an onion or ciabatta bun (or the less fancy, no bun lol) with your popular burger toppings.

Enjoy!
